In an effort to bring awareness to the “Stop Child Abuse” License Plate, TCCWB has created a new online form for local child welfare boards to request and receive their portion of funds generated by license plates sold within their county.
By participating, local boards can help raise child abuse awareness, improve statewide communication, and increase funding for kids in our Texas foster care system.

IN THE COMMUNITY ...
The Stop Child Abuse specialty license plate, designed and implemented by the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards, not only promotes awareness, but it raises funds for the children in our Texas Foster Care system.
It is available through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)
The cost includes your standard plate price (state registration fee) plus an additional $30.
Each plate sold raises $22 for programs and services supporting abused and neglected children in Texas.
Approximately $11 from each plate sold will be returned to your local county Child Welfare Board to help normalize the lives of children in Child Protective Services care.
The specialty plate design will also be available for purchase by individuals and organizations as souvenir plates. While these plates are not street-legal, they can serve as fun gifts, mementos, decorations or to put on bicycles and non-street-legal vehicles. The fee for a single souvenir plate is $20, with $10 going to the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards and your county board.
